The girls played really well that first day, I got to just sit back and watch, making small adjustments here and
there. We beat the number 15 seed to take first in pool and move into the top 32. The second day we had bracket play, with the number 1 seed for the whole tournament in our bracket. We started day two by beating the 49th seed in two setting up a match with the 17th seed crush. Again the girls played great and we won in two, putting us at 5-0 for the tourny. This set us up to play number 1 Kern River. We came out and stunned them the first game 25 22. Both becca and Hailey had huge blocks and every girl on the court served very tough. The second game we got tight, missed serves, and couldnt pass a ball. The one thing i told them after the second game loss is that "I know you guys can beat any team to 15, I've seen it all year" It was true, something about a third game that they just didnt want to lose. They came out great and won in three. We were now the number one seed, at least for the next 12 hours. It was enough to put us in the top
16's for good though. Day three we played Epic, who was number 2 till they got beat the night before. They were a great team, but we did not pass, serve, or play defense. Epic and Kern River went on to play in the finals. After a loss to Epic we went on to play another sluggish match against wave. We lost in
two keeping us at the 16th seed spot. So we are at the bottom of the gold bracket for the last day playing for
9th through 16th. We lost our first match and then finally came to play our next two. We beat PVC and then Canada to win the championship of the competitor division and 13th place overall. Finishing with a record of 8 and 3 for the tournament. The girls played very hard. Most importantly each girl did her job, whether it was to play all the way around or just to serve, they did what was asked of them and i was very proud. Great finish ya lazy bums
