NCVBC New Coaches!
Melanie Hambleton: 15's Premier Coach

Prior to coming to NCVBC Melanie coached for 19 years at Estacada High School.   Mel had 605 wins and 149 losses over that period. She took 16 teams to State and won two State Championships and placed second six times plus many other top six finishes. Mel placed 24 girls on the All State Teams.  Melanie also has been the director of Locos Volleyballl Club while at Estacada. Melanie is currently coaching volleyball as an assistant at Concordia University in Portland. Her son is also a Basketball player for Concordia and she is looking forward to watching him play this year. We are very fortunate to have Melanie on board with our club...the 15's players on her team will be so lucky to have an experienced coach who knows how to get the most out of each player. She has helped many of her players move on to the college level and her Locos club was a top competitor in the region for many years. We are very lucky!

Rachel Cotter: 15's Co-Coach
Rachel Cotter played for one of Melanie's state championship teams at Estacada High School. She then played in college at Chemeketa Community College for 2 years as the starting libero. She broke numerous records along with being named to the Southern region all-star team. She then moved on to play at Concordia University and ranks in their record book 2nd all time for digs in a season and digs per game in a season. Rachel graduated this spring and she is looking forward to continuing her passion for volleyball by coaching with our club and with one of her favorite all time coaches Melanie Hambleton. They will be a fun duo and with a ton of volleyball experience and passion! What a great addition!
